How to set up USB-UIRT in a multizone environment using LIRC

Does anyone know how to set up the USB-UIRT in LIRC v0.8.1 using the multi-zone functionality of the USB-UIRT?

I'm trying to set up a MythTV box that will control 2 seperate Motorola DCT2000 boxes.

I too could use instructions on using the zone features with LIRC. I'm using LIRC 0.8.2-CVS, included in Ubuntu 7.04.
