I am thinking about using the usbuirt as sender to change channels to my satellite receiver while using ORB www.orb.com from a remote location to either stream my own pc files or watch live tv.

My set includes a tv card connected to a coax with standard british UHF analog channels. the coax carries also two relayed receivers (uk sky digibox and another satellite receiver)by rf modulator.

I am able to change channels on both the devices by TV LINK magic eye from my office with the relative remotes..

I've also read on this forum about another device the rf2Link which I guess could replace the tvlink ir receiver and plug straight in the back of the USBUIRT

my question is: would I be able to change channel on the satellite receiver from a remote location, basically doing it online somehow? many thanks

This should work -- although to be able to do this remotely depends on whether the Orb software supports such a feature.
