new usb-uirt failed the test

Postby winclk » Mon May 17, 2004 10:57 pm

just received a new usb uirt and it doesn't pass the cable channel changes test in the setup wizard.

maybe my remote needs training(i keep reading about training the remote) but i don't know how to do this.

i have a motorola cable box(i believe model 2244). i have the silver remote that comes with the pvr250.

i am using btv.

i can watch live tv--the audio is fine---i can record fine--i can't change my cable box stations with the remote and btv doesn't change my cable box stations.

now if i can just get the remote to do something i will be a happy camper.

i posted the other post before i logged in. that one can be deleted. thanks

i'm still a little confused with the remote setup.

how do i learn the other functions of the remote--like the volume controls?

in snapstream wizard it only lets you learn 0-9 and the enter key(haven't fiqured out what the enter key is though).

Unfortunately, PVR programs such as Snapstream only support the transmit function of the USB-UIRT and also only control the cable/sat tuner channel only. If you want to use other functionality of the USB-UIRT, you'll need to use a more 'customizable' program like Girder.

Yes,

One of the features of the USB-UIRT design is the ability for multiple apps to simultaneously use the device.
